Izzy Martin started dancing when she was just 2 years old. While practicing a solo dance at age 10, she suddenly broke her femur. It was this unlikely event that uncovered her diagnosis.
Osteosarcoma is the most common form of bone cancer in children, and 1 in 3 families like Izzy’s have to say goodbye far too soon.
Izzy spent the last two years of her life as an unrelenting warrior fighting for a cure. Her legacy was defined not by her illness, but for her extraordinary impact as a humanitarian through her fundraising efforts and her constant willingness to lend her voice.
Izzy’s story epitomizes humanity in its most pure, altruistic form.
She was selfless, determined, and bitingly witty.
Her purposeful disposition, captured here in clay, reminds us that to share is a gift in and of itself.
